Let's face it, being a teacher is not easy, but of course there are things that help make the job a little more organized. I am the color coding queen! Everything has a color and label, so of course I have all the heart eyes for my colored pens. The Paper Mate flair pens are my favorite! I go through about 3 packs a year, because I use them for EVERYTHING!

Sticky notes have to be my next favorite to color code. Each reading, writing, and math group have their own color sticky notes. I take notes, and make myself notes on the specific color. I also label copies for my paraprofessional on the same color sticky note. She then knows which group I am using that for and which drawer to place it in (that is also labeled with that color).  Color coding things in my classroom makes my life so much more manageable. I know that if I am looking for something for my green group that it will be found in the green basket - or if it hasn't made it back to the basket yet that it will have a green sticky note, possibly multiple green sticky notes, on it. I also use these for personal things as well. If I am making notes, appointments, etc. for my daughter I use the pink ones, and so on.

Speaking of the color coded baskets, these are the best and very durable. I always get the clear set and then color code them like I need them. I have several sets of them and color code them differently for the specific use. I have used vinyl dots for color, I have done colored paper laminated and attached to it. It really just depends on the use. I use these in my classroom for groups, supplies for kids, manipulatives, and more.

The last item is a newer item I found this year and love They are perfect for small manipulatives or erasers. I love to use different small erasers for math counting, addition, subtraction, playing bingo and more. So I have sorted my erasers in these. Students can pull the drawer out and count them or use them for their math station. They come in a variety of colors and a set of two. Grab some here.
